A Two-Three Minute Meditation

Sit in an uncrossed position in a quiet place.

Sometimes I meditate like this on the New York City subway, creating calm in the midst of chaos.

Lower or close your eyes. Listen to your breath. Find your unique rhythm.

Breathe in for inspiration. Breath out to let go of negativity.

Breathe in for inspiration. Breath out to let go of worries and concerns.

Thich Nnat Hanh says, if any thinking comes in, just label it thinking.

Send it away and come back to your center.

If any thinking comes in, just label it thinking.

Send it away and come back to your heart.

Continue to breath and relax, coming back from your thoughts

to reside in your heart.

Breathe and relax. Breathe and relax.

Breathe in for inspiration. Breathe out to let go of worries and concerns.

When you’re ready, you can become more alert. Open your eyes.

This simple meditation can be the beginning of your spiritual practice, where you build

the muscle of your discipline to relax. Later, you can ready yourself for a commitment to

getting beyond the thinking mind – into the multidimensional aspects of you…

Speak to you on March 30th !

Enjoy the onset of spring…
